Among the ingredients Dan and I bought for dinner tonight: Yukon Gold potatoes, yellow summer squash and green beans. I have a deep love of vegetables this time of year. Something about eating beautiful, brightly colored, fresh veggies with dinner feels so right.
It also feels right to support local farmers. Today we picked up our food from a market that purchases its produce from Utah growers. There are great reasons for buying local (many focused on protecting the earth). I'm a definite supporter of simple ways to go green. I also love knowing I've supported someone within my state--even someone in my local community.
