~ a better you ~
The older I get, the more I've become a big believer in the power of positive affirmations. I know it's easy to think write off words like "affirmations" as hooey, but experience has taught me otherwise. I believe the power of happiness lies in your own mind -- in other words, YOU have complete control over whether or not you are satisfied with your life.
However, I do also understand that life can sometimes throw so much at you it's hard to think any good thoughts. BELIEVE me, I get it. But here's a strategy for dealing with crappy situations: you can wallow in them or you can push yourself through by thinking positively.
Enter affirmations. If you can think of one super simple sentence to repeat in your head when you get frustrated, you'll start seeing a difference in your overall happiness. You will recognize the good in your life, which, in turn, leads you to believe you deserve more good things. Best of all? You'll get them.
So what's a super simple, easy-to-remember affirmation to get you started?
"I deserve all the good in my life."
